What's in-store?
There are some items which we do not list for sale on our website, but which we stock in store. Our shop is located in Birkenhead, on Auckland's North Shore (or North Shore City, as it's currently known).
At the moment that includes various items which we just haven't got around to putting on our website (so please ask if you can't find something!), and also items which it's impractical to send to people without first making some arrangements.
Denheath Custard Squares, Cheesecakes & Cup Cakes
These are one of our more popular hard-to-ship items. We always have them in stock, (see here), and you can come in and get as many or as few as you like.
- If you want quite a lot, perhaps for a special occasion, then it may be best to call or email first to check. We can usually get in more for the next day, so give us a call 24 hours ahead, just to be sure (09) 419 8347.
- If there's something else from Denheath that you want, but which we don't have in stock at all, then we can usuall get it in for you with at least 24 hours notice.
Our prices are identical to the prices on the denheath website, ie $4.00 for the usual custard squares, cupcakes & cheese cakes, and $4.50 for the gluten-free cheesecakes. Identical quantity discounts also apply. There is no delivery charge if you come in and pick them up from us yourself.
Piako Yoghurt
These wonderful creamy yoghurts are really something quite special, though given their nature we prefer to just sell them to instore customers. Lots more info here.
Cheese, Chilled meats, etc.
We stock a range of local and imported cheeses, salami, chorizos, pepperoni, serrano, ham, pancetta, prosciutto and the like.
Very popular is Carl's manuka smoked edam with sundried tomatoes & olives, manuka smoked edam with garlic & rosemary, and the Manuka-smoked edam with chilli and garlic. Other NZ cheese brands include Canaan, Kaimai and Over the Moon.
Imported cheeses include Stilton, Red Leceister, Wensleydale, Stripy Jack, Lancashire, all from England; Gouda & Cumin Gouda from Holland; Danish Blue, a couple of sorts of real Italian Parmesan and usually some others bits and pieces, as well!
CuisAnn Gluten-Free Pies, Quiches, etc.
These are frozen, so you can understand our reluctance to send them up and down the country! We stock CuisAnn pies, quiches, tarts, sausage rolls and vegetarian sausage rolls. All gluten-free.
We also get in Baker's Gallery's excellent Gluten-free bread, afghans and pizza bases on Fridays. We mostly do this to order, and there's quite a lot of choice so it's best to get in touch and we can make the arrangements to be sure you don't miss out.
Par-baked Bread & Pastries
As well as fresh bread which we have at the end of the week, we also stock a range of par-baked bread and pastries from Kapiti Artisan Bakehouse and the Paneton French Bakery. These are all to heat up in your oven, to enjoy fresh and hot. We have ciabatta and focaccia from Kapiti (the Balsamic onion and parmesan focaccia is our family favourite), croissants and pain-au-chocolat from Paneton, and sometimes other breads, too. All are either frozen or chilled.
For the croissants and pain-au-chocolats you need to prove them at home overnight prior to heating up... It's well worth the wait.
Bulky & Fragile Items
Perrier water, San Pellegrino water and Waiwera water are available individually or by the case in-store, and we can deliver to Auckland-based customers, but freight charges usually make it silly to send these elsewhere. Please get in touch and we can let you know the pricing.
